Police and ambulance staff are currently in attendance at the incident on Holme Lane near Hillsborough corner.
Supertram said trams were currently suspended between Shalesmoor and Malin Bridge as a result of a road traffic collision.
South Yorkshire Police are yet to comment on the incident.
