Emergency services are dealing with a smash on the M1 this morning

Emergency services are dealing with a pile-up on the M1 between Sheffield and Rotherham this morning.

The Highways Agency said a number of vehicles were involved in a collision on the southbound stretch between junction 34 at Tinsley and junction 35 at Thorpe Hesley.

Two lanes are currently closed and there is queuing traffic.

Motorists have been warned to expect delays.
