Tragedy as body found in search for missing Sheffield man David, 69

A body has sadly been found by police, after a search for a missing Sheffield man.
South Yorkshire Police launched a search earlier for a man they named only as David, aged 69, who had last been seen in Chapeltown on Monday morning.
However, this afternoon they have made the sad annoucement that they have now found a body.
Police said this afternoon: “Officers searching for missing 69 year-old David from the Chapletown area of Sheffield have found a body.
“While formal identification is yet to take place, officers do believe it to be David. His family has been informed and will be supported. We would like to thank everyone who shared our appeal to find him.”
Police had previously said they were increasingly concerned for his welfare and were urgently appealing for information to help locate him.
