One of Sheffield’s major routes to Manchester is reported to be closed this afternoon, after an emergency incident.
The AA says the Woodhead Pass has been closed as a result of a crash this afternoon, with traffic jams building up.
They stated: “Road closed and queueing traffic due to crash on A628 Woodhead Pass both ways between Tintwistle and A616 (Flouch Roundabout).”
They said the incident was first reported at 2.10pm.
Emergency services and National Highways have been approached for more details.
