Dramatic pictures show firefighters in action after blaze breaks out in Sheffield
This was the scene this afternoon after a blaze broke out yards from a busy Sheffield supermarket.

An eyewitness described seeing the blaze on Hermitage Street, Highfield, this afternoon, close to the St Mary’s Gate Aldi.
He said: “I was leaving Aldi, after doing some shopping, this afternoon at around 1.20pm and noticed a skip fire starting in a skip near the back of the flats on Hermitage Street.
“The fire service were called and turned up within around five minutes and put it out.”

Pictures by photographer Matt Tate show the fire crews putting out the flames after they were called to the scene.
South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service say they believe the fire was deliberately started.
They told the Star one of their crews from Central fire station attended the incident after a call was received at 1.28pm.
They added: “One hose reel was used to extinguish the fire which was located in a skip.
“The incident had been dealt with by 2.10pm.
“The fire is believed to have been deliberately set. “
