This is the scene on a Rotherham dual carriageway after friends threw a memorial service for two young men killed in a crash over the weekend.
Flowers have been heaped on East Bawtry Road following the devastating collision on Saturday evening (September 26), in which one car left the road and collided with a lamppost.
The two victims have been named locally as Jacob Skidmore and Jacob Patching, both reportedly aged 19.
It comes after friends gathered on Sunday afternoon for a self-organised memorial event at the scene of the crash.
Two separate fundraising pages to support the two boys’ families have raised over £7,000 between then in less than 24 hours.
The page for Jacob Skidmore, says the money will be to give him “the send off he deserves after being a fatality in a serious car accident,” while Jacob Patching’s page hopes to build “a custom fishing memorial bench for down at the pond” where “friends and family can have some time in one of his favourite places.”
