Firefighters spend night at recycling centre blaze near Sheffield
Blaze close to Sheffield -Derbyshire border
Six fire engines have spent the night battling a fire near the Sheffield -Derbyshire border.
Crews were sent to Eckington late in the evening, with firecrews on the scene well into the night dealing with the blaze, which broke out late on Saturday (September 6), and firefighters remain there this morning.

The fire had started at a recycling centre on Staveley Lane, and as well as the six fire engines, a water carrier and a command support unit were also sent to the incident.
Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Firefighters were mobilised following a 999 call to our control room at 7.54pm.”
They have asked the public to avoid the area where possible, and to keep windows and doors closed if they could see or smell smoke.
Derbyshire firefighters are still at the scene this morning, as crews from Alfreton and Staveley fire stations continue to damp down and monitor conditions.
However, by 9am there were only two fire engines there, down from the original six.
