Firefighters battling moorland blaze for five days expected to leave scene later today
A road is expected to be closed as crews leave
After five days firefighters are expected to leave the scene of a moorland blaze which is finally coming to an end.
The fire broke out near Bradfield, in the Peak District, on Wednesday, August 12.

In the subsequent days, firefighters and gamekeepers from the Peak District Moorland Group (PDMG) have been battling the the fire, however crews are expected to leave today.
South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue have warned that nearby Mortimer Road will be closed to help pack up equipment.
A spokesperson said: “Mortimer Road is closed between the Strines Inn and Dale Road whilst crews prepare to leave this incident and pack up equipment.
“This is likely to be in place until around 7pm this evening.”
Videos of the incident last week show the hard work being undertaken to control the fire.
The PDMG said in a previous statement: “We encourage visitors to please stay away from our vulnerable moorland areas when the fire risk is so high and our resources from all sectors are literally at breaking point.”
