Elm Wood Farm: Fire services called to two simultaneous blazes in Sheffield
Fires are being tackled on Elm Wood farm and Penrith Road
Fire crews are tackling two grass fires in South Yorkshire as people are warned to take extra care in the current warm and dry weather.
South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue said it was receiving a number of 999 calls about fires on Penrith Road, Sheffield, and at Elm Wood Farm in Swallownest.

Fire engines have been sent to both incidents, with the service confirming it is aware of the fires.
A spokesperson said: “We know about these incidents and have fire engines on the scene.”
The latest incidents come after a grass fire broke out at Longley Park on Crowder Road, Sheffield, where three fire crews were sent to tackle the blaze earlier this week.
Residents living nearby were urged to keep their doors and windows closed while firefighters dealt with the incident.
South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue has also issued a warning about the increased risk of wildfires during the current warm, dry conditions.
The service is urging people not to have garden fires or use disposable barbecues, warning that a small spark can quickly spread through dry grass, hedges and woodland.
Firefighters are reminding people to dispose of rubbish responsibly, avoid using barbecues in parks and moorlands and not to have garden fires.
Anyone who spots a wildfire is being urged to call 999.
The fire service said: “A small spark can quickly spread through dry grass, hedges and woodland, putting lives, wildlife and property at risk.”
The causes of the latest fires have not been confirmed.
