Curbar Edge: Rescue drama as climber airlifted to hospital after fall from cliff at Peak District beauty spot
This was the scene at a Peak District beauty spot after a climber was injured in a fall this week.
Emergency services and Edale Mountain Rescue were deployed to deal with the incident, and pictures show the mountain rescue volunteers at the site, just a few miles from Sheffield.

An air ambulance was also sent out after the fall at Curbar Edge at around 2pm on Tuesday.
Edale Mountain Rescue said in a statement: “The team were called to a fallen climber on Curbar Edge.
“The climber was given pain relief, packaged and stretchered to a waiting helimed (air ambulance) for further medical care and transfer to hospital.
“We wish the casualty a swift and full recovery.”
