Eleven Sheffield trampolinists qualify for national development scheme
They have qualified for the 2016 Trampoline and Tumbling National Development Plan (NDP) final in Telford.
The youngsters, who train at SIV’s Hillsborough Leisure Centre, Ponds Forge International Sports Centre, Concord Sports Centre and Springs Leisure, will represent the city at the NDP event at the International Centre from 8 to 10 July. It follows a regional qualification event in Birmingham.

Hide AdEliza Clarke, level 2, and Elizabeth Tingle, level 3, will be competing in the 9-10W group, Eliza Saxton, level 8, Mikaela O’Sullivan, level 2, Millie Evans, level 4 and Molly Birch, level 5, are competing in the 11-12W group.
Sophie Akhaven-Hezaveh, level 8, is competing in the 17-18W group with Luka Rhys-Kristensen, level 5 competing in the 13-14M group.
Rose Thomas, level 6, will go in the 9-12W group, Elena Hirst, level 7, has qualified in the 11-14W group and Rebecca Trower, level 7, in the 17+W group.
To make the podium, the gymnasts will have to perform two routines. Receiving 45 overall with an average of 7.5 score per judge.

Meanwhile, 25-year-old elite pathway athlete Page will be attempting top qualify for the Rio Olympics at the British Championships next weekend.
