Elderly woman pushed to the floor and injured in Sheffield robbery - appeal

An appeal has been launched after an elderly woman had her handbag stolen in Sheffield this evening.

At about 5.30pm, the woman, believed to be in her 70s, was walking along Shirebrook Road when an unknown man reportedly approached her from behind.

The man allegedly snatched the woman’s handbag and pushed her to the floor before he fled the scene.

The woman suffered a head injury.

The handbag is described as being black leather, with front pockets and two zips on the top.

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 quoting incident 880 of November 18.
