A new home is being sought for elderly domestic short-haired cat Dolly.
The 11-year-old tortoiseshell and white tabby has no health issues and is being rehomed by RSPCA Animal Centre, Stadium Way, Sheffield.
Dolly was originally brought to the centre by a member of the public when she was found as a stray. She had very poorly skin and was feeling run down. Dolly was immediately treated for fleas and had a steroid injection to help calm down her skin and to start to make her feel more comfortable.
An RSPCA spokesman said: “She began to look and feel much better and after a couple of months of searching, she found a new home.
“Unfortunately, she has found herself back here to begin another search and she is really hoping to find her forever home quickly.
“This older lady is quite a character – she is affectionate and friendly and enjoys a fuss, but she has no problems in telling you when she has had enough and would like to be left alone.”
Dolly would ideally like a quieter home with no young children with owners who understand her nature and can give her the peace and quiet that she deserves.
Although she is entering her twilight years, Dolly loves to play and will play interactively or amuse herself for hours with toys.
