Eight-year-old boy seriously injured in Sheffield road collision

An eight-year-old boy has been seriously injured in a collision in Sheffield.

The crash in Southey Green happened at about 10.55pm on Saturday night on Herries Road, close to the junction with Galsworthy Road.

A grey Vauxhall Insignia driven by a man in his 30s collided with an eight-year-old boy.

The boy is in hospital with serious injuries, but remains ‘in a stable condition’.

The driver was not injured.
