MUMS and youngsters from Balby Children’s Centre were VIP guests at the shops to help with a store opening.
Balby’s former Netto store reopened its doors after a £500,000 conversion into an Asda supermarket.
Family workers, mums and babies from Balby Children’s Centre officially opened the newly converted store on Springwell Lane.
The families were invited to launch the store by manager, Karrie Mulvey.
To thank them for officially opening the new store, Action for Children, who run the children’s centre, was given a £50 Asda gift card.
Store manager Karrie Mulvey said: “We wanted to celebrate the opening of our new store with the local community which was the idea behind inviting Balby Children’s Centre.
“It was a pleasure to have the mums do our opening honours and the children were very well behaved.
Denise Lane, Action for Children Project Manager at Balby Children’s Centre, said: “It was a real honour to be asked to open the store and we had a good laugh doing the honours. It was lovely to meet the team at the store and we hope to build on our relationship with them.”
