BULGARIAN children’s workers came to Sheffield for a study visit to find out what help is given to youngsters in care.
The event was organised by JK Rowling’s children’s charity, Lumos and officers from Sheffield Council’s Children’s and Family Services department.
The Bulgarians found out what help is available for children with disabilities, foster care services, special schools, residential homes, children’s centres, support and prevention services and transition services.
They met parents of disabled children and staff from the council.
Lumos works across Central and Eastern Europe to end the institutionalisation of children.
