OVER 18,000 students packed out a Sheffield shopping centre for a one-night-only discount event.
Young people from colleges and universities queued for hours outside Meadowhall shopping centre for their September student lock-in, which saw retailers give special discounts.
Shoppers snapped up bargains as shops kept their doors open after-dark. They were also kept entertained by giveaways, competitions and dance performances.
Gemma Noble, communications executive at Meadowhall, said: “We were delighted to have welcomed so many students back to the centre for yet another big discount event.”
