DELEGATES at the National Union of Students’ annual conference being held at Sheffield City Hall have re-elected Liam Burns to serve a second term as president.

Liam was elected with 57 per cent of the vote in the final round of the count and will now continue in office until the end of June 2013.

He said: “With the Government’s abandonment of the proposed higher education bill and presiding over record youth unemployment, so many of their wrong-headed reforms are taking place behind the scenes and we will continue to vigorously contest them out in the open.”
