Students put on charity race night to help local cause

Budding event organisers from Sheffield Hallam University have organised a charity race night to raise money for Help a Child Have a Chance.

Bex Powell, Robyn Paget and Will Russ are among 400 events students who are raising money for locally based charities.

The evening of board games and betting kicks off tomorrow night from 7pm at Walkabout on Carver Street off West Street in the centre of Sheffield.

A range of prizes is on offer from vouchers for BB’s Italian and Freshman’s Vintage Store to tickets to Owlerton Stadium and iceSheffield in Attercliffe.

Help a Child have a Chance is a charity which works to offer the chance of a better quality of life to sick and vulnerable children in South Yorkshire.

Entry is free, however an advanced ticket for £3 offers drinks deals, a free bet and a free raffle ticket.
