FOUR Sheffield Hallam University students are seeking to improve the quality of PE provision in Tanzania for generations to come in an exchange programme which will develop teaching practices in the eastern African country.

Jack Davis, Shereen Hutton, Josh Saydraouten and Lisa Bailey will work with their African counterparts to train PE teachers, sports development officers, sports administrators and volunteer sports leaders.

Jack, Shereen, Josh and Lisa have been busy fundraising for the eight-week trip and are hosting a 24-hour sponsored cycle at Collegiate Hall this Sunday.

The students, all aged 20, fly to Tanzania at the end of April and will spend a week at Malya Sports College before heading to Arusha to begin the training programme.
