Story-telling by school pupils

PUPILS at a Sheffield prep school were asked to bring in their favourite stories to mark World Book Day.

Girls at Ashdell School in Years 3 to 6 came to school with story books and paid a visit to the reception and Year 2 class to read to the younger pupils.

“The older girls really enjoy being ‘big sisters’ to the younger girls and reading a book together is such a nice thing to do,” a school spokeswoman said.

At the end of the summer term, Year 6 is designing and write their own story book for the school’s youngest pupils.
