Young people in Rotherham have been given a sporting chance after a cash boost from Yorkshire Building Society.

PTC Sports Community Trust received £430 from the Society’s charitable foundation to buy two boccia sets – a ball sport designed for people with disabilities and affected motor skills.

The new equipment will help youngsters with disabilities in South Yorkshire to take part in sport and physical education.

Carol Piper, the Yorkshire’s Sheffield branch manager, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to have contributed to two new boccia sets.”
