BOSSES at Rotherham Hospital are continuing to battle the spread of the norovirus winter vomiting bug.
Doctors have asked that anyone with symptoms of the extremely contagious disease - which include diarrhoea and vomiting - does not visit the hospital’s accident and emergency department.
A spokesman said: “Although it can be very unpleasant, the illness is generally short-lived and most people make a full recovery within one to two days. If you think you may be affected by norovirus, stay at home and use the symptom checker on the NHS Direct website.”
