Around 200 delegates from 30 countries descended on Sheffield for a three-day conference on the topic of children’s everyday lives.

The event at Kenwood Hall was hosted by Sheffield University’s Centre for the Study of Childhood and Youth.

Themed sessions included peers and siblings, cites and urban life, war and natural disasters, historical childhoods and African experiences and migration.

Highlights included a session by Professor Margaret Mackey, from Canada, on everyday literacies.
