Schools aim to tackle waste

PUPILS and staff at 56 South Yorkshire schools have signed up to a challenge to cut food waste and packaging.

Schools joining the first national Waste Week include Westbourne School, Stonelow Junior School and Oxspring Primary School, Sheffield;

Killamarsh Junior School; Dronfield Junior School, Dronfield; West Melton Primary School, Kelford Special School and Wath Comprehensive School, Rotherham; Silkstone Primary School and Carlton Community College, Barnsley; Milton Special School, Mexborough; and Townfield Primary School, The Hayfield School and Station Road Primary School, Doncaster.

Waste Week aims to get schools thinking about how to cut down on waste.
