HUNDREDS of South Yorkshire secondary pupils are currently carrying out climate change research on the Peak District and Pennine moors.

It is the fifth year running that 11 to 18-year-olds from 12 schools have carried out the experiments. Each school is given a moorland site to investigate and they cover most of the upland areas of the Peak District National Park including Staffordshire, Bleaklow, Derwent and Beeley, near Bakewell.
