SHEFFIELD University engineering students have won a national prize for a video they created showcasing their achievements over the past year.
The students are all members of Engineering Without Borders, an organisation which backs projects tackling global poverty and local issues.
A presentation was made at EWB’s national conference which was held in Sheffield.
Sheffield EWB president Jo Sinisgalli said: “The thing I love about EWB is how a simple idea and simple technology can be used to make a big difference.”
EWB’s projects seek to provide cost-effective solutions to common problems.
EWB’s Joe Moore said: “To me this means engineering with a human face, and applying that to better the world.”
