A DONCASTER nursery has been recognised as ‘good’ following an inspection from Ofsted.

Inspectors from the organisation gave their backing to the work carried out at Daisy Chain Nursery, based at St John the Baptist Church of England Primary School, on Sedgefield Way, Mexborough.

The report said children enjoyed a wide range of play opportunities, both indoors and outside, which generally covered all aspects of learning well. Outcomes for children were good, with good priority given to ensuring children’s safety and well-being

The manager was well organised and provided clear leadership. Most staff were well trained and all are enthusiastic in their roles. There was a good partnership with parents, carers and other professionals.

The report recommended further development of the outdoors there and more use of information technology.
