Pupils are being invited to a one-off lecture at Sheffield University to learn why science is for everyone.
The event on October 8 is being organised by Dr Jen Lewis, Emma Blakey and Dr Nate Adams with ScienceGrrl – a national grassroots organisation dedicated to celebrating and supporting women in science.
Professor Elena Rodriguez-Falcon, an eminent female engineer at the university, will present some of the latest science and engineering research in a fun and accessible way, with the aim of exciting the next generation to get involved.
She will also be joined by a panel of female science and engineering students for a live question and answer session with the audience.
The event is also open to the general public.
