A Yorkshire and Humber based health trust has made a University of Hull academic an honorary Professor of Clinical Research.
Professor Mark Hayter (pictured) will become an honorary Professor for Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust (RDaSH).
Mark is the University of Hull’s Professor of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Head of the School of Nursing. He is also a visiting Professor at the University of Genoa, Italy and has extensive academic contacts in Asia, Australia, the Middle East and the United States.
Mark is an editor of the Journal of Advanced Nursing and serves on the editorial boards of the Journal of School Nursing, Sex Education, the International Journal of Qualitative Methodology and the Journal of Nursing Interventions. He is also a Fellow of the European Academy of Nursing Scholars and of the American Academy of Nursing.
Mark said: “I welcome this appointment and look forward to expanding our areas of research and even closer working with RDaSH and its staff.”
Dr Nav Ahluwalia, Executive Medical Director for RDaSH who spearheads the Trust’s research programme, which is called ‘Grounded Research’, said: “It is a pleasure to welcome Mark as an honorary Professor to our research programme. Mark brings with him a wealth of experience and the appointment cements the relationship the Trust already has with him.”
