Thirty apprentices have been honoured at a presentation ceremony.

The 30, who received certificates, are the latest successes on Bolsover Council’s apprenticeship programme, which started in 2010 and has helped 106 unemployed people into full-time work.

SLIC Training, of Chesterfield, delivered a qualification in Preparing for Employment, which included CV writing and interview techniques.

Coun Eion Watts, council leader, said: “The programme gives young people invaluable work experience.”
