Sheffield students will be guaranteed an offer at university under a new college partnership.
Youngsters wanting to take courses at The University of Huddersfield in West Yorkshire will be given a conditional offer as long as they meet entry criteria under the scheme.
Sheffield College - which has thousands of students across various campuses in the city – has established the progression agreement through its careers guidance team.
Heather MacDonald, chief executive of The Sheffield College, said: “This new development is of tremendous benefit to our students because it offers them the opportunity to progress and study at a very well respected and successful institution.
“We are delighted to work in partnership with The University of Huddersfield.
“It is part of our wider commitment to better preparing our students for their future, whether that is getting a job, setting up a business or going on to further study at college or university.”
