All aboard as mobile university hits road

A ‘mobile university’ will tour the city centre to deliver free talks to the public.

A 1960’s double-decker bus is being transformed into a lecture theatre by Sheffield University for three days from next Friday, when it will pull up at Barkers Pool, The Moor and Devonshire Green.

People are invited to jump on board to listen to short talks on a diverse range of subjects. The initiative was started by Prof Vanessa Toulmin, the university’s engagement director.
