TEACHERS from schools across Doncaster gathered at a borough arts centre to mark a year of music projects.

Schemes have been running in schools across the borough through a collaboration between Cape UK, Doncaster Community Arts, and Doncaster Council.

They got together at Doncaster Community Arts, also known as Darts, based at The Point, on South Parade.

Darts musician Beci Jamieson said: “As a musician, I am amazed by the way music has shaped my own learning and development.

“These projects demonstrate the real impact music can have on the children of Doncaster, helping them to enjoy their learning and improve their attainment.

“These projects give metaphorical keys to children and teachers alike to open doors to their own learning and future development.”

Projects have been run with schools including Scawsby Saltersgate Juniors, Stone Hill Special School, and Bentley High Street Primary.
