ENVIRONMENTAL campaigners from Sheffield joined fellow activists from around the country for a demonstration about oil drilling.

Greenpeace members targeted 13 Shell petrol stations in protest at plans to explore reserves in the Arctic.

The Sheffield activists headed to York for a peaceful demonstration where some protesters dressed as polar bears, highlighting their fear of possible environmental damage.

Other protesters bore placards bearing messages such as ‘get the Shell out of there’.
