Eckington School GCSE pupils make the grade
Eckington School's headteacher has congratulated his year 11 pupils on their GCSE success.
Patrick Cummings said the school’s five A*-C (including English and mathematics) continued to stretch further beyond the national average.
“A total of 66 per cent of our young people scored good passes in English and mathematics,” he added.
Among the highest attainers were: Daniel Burgess: (seven A*s, three As); Liam Dunn (four A*s, five As, one B); Rachel Clayton (five A*s, five As); Rachelle Batty (six A*s, three As); Olivia Ballington (four A*s, five As); Madeleine Widdowson (five A*s, four As); Chloe Mallinder (three A*s, four As, two Bs); Katy Staples (two A*s, six As, one B); Kate Hennessey (four A*s, two As, four Bs); Evie Green (one A*, seven As, two Bs); Xavier Nicholson (two A*s, five As, two Bs); Daisy Staples (one A*, six As, two Bs); Adam Howsham (one A*, four As, four Bs, one C).
