A car fire on one of Sheffield’s busiest roads caused traffic chaos for motorists last night.

The blaze took place on Ecclesall Road, near Hunters Bar roundabout, at 5.35pm yesterday (Saturday, May 14) and fire engines were dispatched to the scene.
The fire is believed to have been started as a result of an accidental ignition while driving.
There were significant delays in the area as a result of the crash, in both directions near Hunters Bar roundabout.
Brocco Bank; Rustlings Road and Junction Road also experienced congestion.
