Easter calls for rescuers

MOUNTAIN rescue team members were called out to Edale after a young woman fell and injured her ankle while descending Sledge Road on Easter Monday.

She was given pain relief and her wrist was put in a splint before she was taken to hospital.

On Saturday the team was called out to help a woman who fell and injured her ankle while walking on the Sheffield moors.

They put her leg in a splint and carried her on a stretcher to a waiting ambulance.
