Drivers swerve out the way during high-speed police chase through busy Sheffield estate

Police stopped the green Nissan Almera in the Bressingham Road area of Burngreave on Monday night (Feb 11), before the occupants fled the scene.

Shocked eye-witnesses said that around 20 emergency vehicles were seen heading down Burngreave Road as they chased the vehicle.

Drivers were forced to swerve out of the way as the driver raced down Barnsley Road before eventually evading policing.

An area search was carried out but nobody was found and at this time, no arrests have been made.
