Driver of speeding car 'threw cannabis from window' during Sheffield police chase

The driver of a speeding car allegedly threw cannabis out of the vehicle's windows during a police chase in Sheffield.

The incident happened today (Thursday, July 19) in the Gleadless area after officers saw a car being driven 'at speed'.

The vehicle then proceeded to 'make off' from the police before stopping a shortly afterwards.

A search of the route taken by the car subsequently found cannabis which had allegedly been discarded by the driver during the chase.

The officers added the man who will appear before Sheffield Magistrates Court in due course.
