Driver seriously hurt in head on collision on Rotherham road

A driver was seriously injured in a head on collision with another car in Rotherham.

Police say the 31-year-old man was taken to hospital with ‘life-changing’ injuries in the crash on Mansfield Road, Wales early on Saturday morning.

He was driving a green Peugeot 206 which was in collision with a silver Skoda Fabia near the railway bridge at just after 5.15am.

The two men travelling in the Skoda, aged 30 and 28, suffered minor injuries.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or the moments leading up to it.
