A motorist was left fighting for life and two of his passengers were seriously injured after their car ran out of control and smashed into a wall.
They were travelling along Retford Road, Handsworth, in a silver Peugeot when it left the road and crashed into the stone wall of a house. It then spun and came to rest on the driveway of the house.
The driver - an 18-year-old man from Darnall - suffered life-threatening head injures and a broken back.
His passengers, two Woodhouse men aged 19 and 18, suffered broken bones.
Witnesses to the collision at 3.50am on Saturday should call South Yorkshire Police on 101.
