The crackdown on dangerous parking outside Sheffield schools has continued, with another driving facing a £100 fine and three points on their licence.

Police in Parson Cross and Southey Green have issued several warnings about drivers parking on zig-zag markings outside schools and potentially imperilling local youngsters.

Sheffield North East Neighbourhood Policing Team said a motorist who failed to heed those warnings was this morning reported after being caught parked in a hazardous position on Monteney Road.

"The driver is subsequently now reported and faces a £100 fine and three points. There is no excuse!" stated officers.

"We are still working on a long term solution to this issue and you will see some progress from May onwards.

"Please keep sharing and highlighting this issue with family and friends so that we can get the message across, keep our school crossings safe and not have to issue any more points and fines."
