Driver escapes with minor injuries after three-vehicle crash on South Yorkshire motorway

The incident happened this afternoon on the M18 motorway just south of junction 1.

Officers from South Yorkshire Police’s operational support team said three vehicles were involved, including the pictured Renault Clio.

Fortunately, however, a spokesperson said the driver of the Clio escaped with minor injuries only.

All three vehicles were recovered and enquires were 'ongoing’, the spokesperson added.
