Driver arrested over theft of car and drink driving in Sheffield
Police in Sheffield have arrested a motorist on suspicion of theft and drink driving.
Officers acted after a car rolled backwards and ended up trapped between a lamppost and telegraph pole on Birley Moor Road yesterday morning.
A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: "This vehicle was taken without the owner's permission and was rolled backwards into the lamppost on Birley Moor Road.
"The driver has been arrested for taking the car and on suspicion of drink driving."
