Drinking ban for man who assaulted Pc

A MAN has been banned from every bar, pub, club and all licensed premises in Doncaster town centre for six months.

Samual Coole, of Woodland Avenue, Crowle, appeared at Doncaster Magistrates’ Court charged with drunk and disorderly behaviour and assaulting a police officer.

He was given a six-month community order, £75 fine and a six-month drink banning order from all licensed premises in the town centre.

Coole was arrested after reports were made to police about his behaviour at a venue on High Fishergate in the town centre.

He was arrested for being drunk and disorderly and pushed one of the officers to the ground.

He later apologised to the officer for being violent towards him.

Pc Jules Moss from Doncaster’s Antisocial Behaviour Team said: “This is another example of alcohol taking control and resulting in unacceptable behaviour.

“The court has sent a clear message that if you act in a drunken and abusive manner, this will not be tolerated.

“A six-month ban from the town centre will hopefully make Coole reflect on the error of his ways.”
