The firm is hoping the new store in Woodside Retail Park will provide jobs to people in Woodseats, Norton Lees, Meersbrook and Heeley.

Its existing store on Guernsey Road in Lowfield will remain open but will close on completion of the Chesterfield Road site.

Dunelm has positions for sales assistants and team leaders, while baristas will be needed for the coffee shop in the 36,000 sq ft store.

A Dunelm spokesperson said: “We are pleased to be bringing more jobs to the local area and being able to provide flexible contract types and roles within our brand new store means there are many opportunities for part time and full time careers.

“Dunelm is built around the strong relationships they have with people. Not just our customers, who we value above all, but also the 9,000 plus staff, whose hard work and commitment has made the business such a success story.”
