The Star is looking for nominations for its annual Superkids Awards - and we want to hear from YOU all about South Yorkshire’s most amazing children and teenagers.
There are ten categories for this year’s awards, including: Triumph Over Adversity, Bravery, Inspirational Young Person, Fundraising, Educational, Supporting The Family, Carer of the Year, Music & Performing Arts, Sports, and a Special award, tailored for a special little person in the region that deserves a big thank you.
If you know a youngster who has overcome the most troublesome of times, battled an illness or a tragedy, gone above and beyond for charity, or closer to home with their own families, get in touch and tell us all about them. Perhaps they have incredible musical talent or have made tremendous achievements in the world of sport? Do they give up time to support a family member, friend or neighbour in need, or are they a fantastic example to other young people?
The Star’s Editor James Mitchinson said: “Superkids is about recognising and rewarding inspirational children, up to 18-years-old, from across the region and we’re urging people to nominate someone they think deserves some recognition.”
This year’s awards ceremony, sponsored by Outwood Academy City, will be held at Magna Science Adventure Centre in Rotherham, on Wednesday, December 9.
