Doughnuts to help sick kids

A SHEFFIELD baker is hoping the public lend a hand to make a pile of charity dough.

Roses the Bakers is making a donation from every doughnut sold during National Doughnut Week this week to The Children’s Trust.

National Doughnut week is supported by bakeries all over the county and is now in its 20th year.

Organisers hope to raise £50,000 this year for The Children’s Trust which specialises in helping children with multiple disabilities and in particular children with brain injuries.

Mark Johnstone, General Manager at Roses in Ecclesall Road, said: “We are delighted to be able to help raise money for such a worthy cause.

“I think our customers will really get behind us and help make this week a great success.”
