Hide Ad“I started the season with a flu bug and then two tendons ripped partially away from my pelvic bone” said the 34-year-old.
“It was an extremely frustrating year, it would have been for any athlete.
“I was probably only fit for two weeks of the whole year.
“At the Play Offs I wasn’t really fit enough to take a healthy import slot but when Zack (Fitzgerald) got injured a position opened up and I was happy to come in and do what I could.
“I knew I wouldn’t be able to hit, or stop and start the way I’d like to, but I’d started to feel better in the week and a half leading up to the Play Offs.

Hide Ad“I don’t know what will happen next year. But I want the owner and coaches to know that I am passed the injury now and I will play next year.
“There’s no doubt in my mind there will be no problems going forward, whether it is this team or another.”
Fretter is going to rest for a while before re-building for the 2016-17 season.
“I’d like to return to Sheffield, I had planned to play one more season and then take a decision on what to do moving forward. I’ve not really talked to anybody at the club, but hopefully...”
